Yiannis Kastritis

Yiannis Kastritis was born on April 4, 1982 and returns to ARIS, after his tenure in the 2018-19 season, when he assumed the technical leadership of the team in place of Vangelis Angelos. As an athlete, he competed in the G.S. Arcadias, Arkadikos and Panachaiki.
He started his coaching career at a young age, in Apolloniada, while from 2006 to 2008 he was an assistant coach in Olympiada Patras, during the presence of the Achaean team in A1. In 2009, his collaboration with Arkadikos began, where he served as an assistant coach until 2012. That year, he assumed the position of head coach and in 2015 he led his team to A1, being the youngest coach to achieve such a feat.
In 2015-16 he coached Arkadikos in his only year in the "living rooms" and in the summer of 2016 he agreed with Trikala, which he led to the best season in their history, finishing in 10th place.
In May 2017 he took over Kymi and in the 2017-18 season he led them to 7th place and the playoffs.
He left in November 2018 and a month later, took over ARIS who finished in 9th place.
In the summer of 2019 he agreed with Heracles, from whom he left after six months and in January 2020 he took charge of Hapoel Tel Aviv.
At the national level, Giannis Kastritis was the coach of the U19 National Team at the 2019 World Championship, where our representative group finished in 10th place.
